Prompt: If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?


If I could plan a spring break with no limitations, I would either do a road trip to visit every Meow Wolf installation, or go to Japan  Meow Wolf is a company that does these interactive art installations, but not just like the museum ones, it's got a story you've got to find . Like for instance on my 16th birthday we went to one in Las Vegas called Omega Mart, and it's this huge convince store looking place, but if you look closer, there is were products like Vegan Goat Pus and flowers with eyes. That's not all, it's got secret rooms. For instance, I opened up a fridge door and it was a whole hallway that led to a huge other part of the building. It was just overall very cool and i'd like to visit all of their installations. I would probably bring a notepad and pencil, because there's clues and things you need to do to figure out the overall story. Like in one room there was a skeleton of a fish person, and I, by hand, translated some symbols into like a code for a different room. It was very fun. As for Japan, I really want to go back because I missed a lot of things due to not having enough time. I would bring more suitcases for sure. I bought a lot of things there, and don't regret it. I honestly feel like I should have maybe bought more, because it's not everyday you go to Japan. While I didn't really go to many touristy places, I would go to less populated areas the next time around. I mean like the countryside. Basically a more thorough trip of Japan.  


Today we did a recovery day.

Prompt: Easter Sunday was yesterday, a holiday full of traditions for many people. What holiday do you look forward to the most each year, and why is it your favorite? Share what you usually do to celebrate it and what makes it meaningful or fun for you." My favorite holiday is probably either Christmas or Halloween, but I enjoy Christmas a bit more with family. Usually, I'm with my family in Mexico by that time. It's always nice to connect with my family, even when they are in a whole different country, so Christmas is me catching up with them. It also helps me stay in touch with my roots, so it's not just Christmas itself that makes it my favorite. It's the fact that I can see all my family because of it.

Prompt: Write about a conversation that changed you. Dec 2

A conversation that changed me was probably talking to my doctor the day my eye was taken. It was a couple days before Christmas when I was told that my cancer had come back, and my parents had to make the decision of removing or keeping my eye. To keep it meant to have the risk of my cancer escaping the eye, and into my brain, or going into other parts of my body. This was risky, and all to keep an eye that at that point didn't work anymore. Before every treatment, my doctor would always encourage me to ask questions. That's how I knew exactly how my treatments worked and such. But this time, I remember I asked, "Are you going to take my eye out?" His response is something I'll never forget, he said "No, I'm going to take out your cancer, what's hurting you." I think for a Nine year old me, that's exactly what I needed to hear, because I walked right into the operation room after that, and chose my anesthesia flavor. I don't remember muc...

Class assignment

 A time I was in conflict with a parent was a couple years ago because of piano. I sort of talked about it before, but specifically my parents would make me do concerts, which I didn't like much since I also had to sing while playing. I know they were trying to give me advantages and stuff, but it honestly made my self esteem go down and every time I see those videos I just feel bad about it. I learned that I just don't feel comfortable with that kind of thing. I eventually talked to my parents, sitting them down and telling them how I feel, which for the most part worked. My father is less involved in that stuff now because I don't let him, as he gets too intense and I don't perform well like that. I learned also that I do better if I enjoy what i'm playing, and if my parents give me just a bit of space, I find myself actually getting up and practicing by myself.
