We read a poem about a Red wheelbarrow. I actually really liked how simple it was, definitely portraying its message of looking for a deeper meaning in ordinary objects, like that wheelbarrow. Or just valuing the little things. I hadn't really thought about this type of stuff before. However, after that lesson, I won't take that stuff for granted anymore. Like in the assignment, pencils are really important in my life. I mentioned this, but I like to draw, its a way to express myself, and pencils help me achieve that. While I don't go out of my way to break them or anything, I definitely haven't seen them as something important. Just a tool I carry around in case I want to draw. Tuesday was a pretty good day in my opinion.
We discussed what words offended us and the type of impact they can have. I learned that sometimes, words can be used in a certain context that is hurtful. For me personally, I don't get offended easily, and there isn't any specific words that I find all that harmful. Mostly because I don't really take those sort of things to heart. I thought hearing about how others felt was pretty informative though. Monday was a pretty good day overall.
Today we played a Kahoot on current events. I learned a lot of new stuff, like how Obama was born in Hawaii. I was a bit stressed because we didn't have much class time today, and I was on the news crew. Today we had the film announcements and I was worried we wouldn't have much time. In the end, we got it all done so that relieved some stress. Overall, it's been a pretty okay day.
